What Should I  expect?

We're Glad you're here!  Altoona United Methodist Church is a small church in the heart of Iowa.  Our church is a great place to connect with God and find a friendly community to share in.

AUMC offers a variety of opportunities for people of all ages to connect with God.  Our worship services meet on Sundays @ 8:30 & 11 AM.  Our 8:30 service is a more traditional service, while our 11 AM service is a blended service offering contemporary music with our praise band. Which ever service you choose the message will be the same.  Try them both and see what fits your needs.  Nursery is offered during both services and Children's Church, for grades preschool through 2nd grade, is offered during the 11 o’clock service.

What do You have for kids?

At Altoona United Methodist Church your kids are important to us.  We have many different programs to meet their needs from infants to high schoolers.  For more information about our children's programs click here.

What Should I wear?

Sometimes knowing what to wear to a church is difficult.  At AUMC we encourage you to come as you are.  Whether you are most comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt, polo and khakis, or a suit and tie, you'll feel right at home in our church.
